The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 Tuesday to accept the nearly $2 million offer of SunCap Atlanta to improve Factory Shoals Road in the South Cobb Redevelopment Area.
This road needs improvements from the county line to White Road to realign curves and add curb and gutter to meet SunCap’s requirements for its new 307,000-square-foot industrial building on 57 acres.
SunCap is paying for the engineering and design plans for this transportation project and also has agreed to pay no more than $1.95 million for construction and utility costs.
The county will fund $600,000 for right-of-way, utility and construction costs.
Also, the county will review and approve the engineering design, acquire right-of-way and provide oversight for construction and utility relocation.
