The “Songs & Shelters Tour” arrives Tuesday in Cherokee County to promote pet adoptions and support the county animal shelter.

Nashville country artist Ben Cesare is touring "to shine a spotlight on local animal shelters across the country," according to a Facebook posting by the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. "Locals are encouraged to come out to the shelter, donate key wish list items and enjoy good music, while showing support for the local shelter."

The acoustic performance starts at 3 p.m. at the shelter, 1015 Univeter Road, Canton.

"I've made a career in music and it is a passion of mine. But the animals have always been equal in my heart. I'm looking forward to doing whatever I can to promote this cause," Cesare said. Information: https://bit.ly/2L9U0mF
