Crews are working to remove an estimated 10,000 illegally dumped tires in a park in DeKalb County.

Officials learned of the tire dump Friday morning, Channel 2 Action News reported. They’re at Fork Creek Mountain Park on River Road in South DeKalb.

“Keep DeKalb Beautiful,” code enforcement and police think the dumping is from a business and has been going on six months, Channel 2 reported.

“Different entities in the county may partner with us to provide undercover detectives or technology that we can use to locate these people and find out who’s doing it,” said Lt. Lonzy Robertson.
