Fayette County is requiring rising sixth- and eighth-grade students to register for bus transportation service before school starts on Aug. 6.

The school system is sending messages to parents via Infinite Campus on Aug. 1 regarding bus stops and pick-up times, and bus drivers have already begun doing practice runs of their routes. Parents must respond to the IC message in order for their children to ride the bus.

The information is also available at https://www.fcboe.org/Page/3366.

Bus drivers will be at the schools’ open houses this week to meet students and distribute information.

Motorists throughout the county are being asked to be mindful of increased traffic as the new school year starts.
