The Snellville City Council voted Monday to approve a proposal by Carousel Industries to provide telecommunications services. The new contract will result in savings of just over $23,000. Carousel Industries will coordinate services provided by MetTel, Windstream and AT&T. The majority of savings will result from changing business phone lines, conference calling and internet service to new service providers.

Emergency 911 service equipment will remain with AT&T.
