The Snellville City Council recently approved the city’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan.

The comprehensive plan sets guidelines and vision for the city’s future over the next 20 years. It sets strategies and policy for reaching the city’s goals with an emphasis on what can be accomplished over the next five years.

Topics covered in the plan include land use, transportation, housing, economic development and quality of life issues.

A comprehensive plan is required by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to maintain Qualified Local Government status allowing the city to obtain state funding for future projects.
