To help businesses move forward through the COVID-19 pandemic, the city of Smyrna has waived all temporary sign permit fees through Aug. 31.

Businesses will be allowed to display temporary signs - such as banners, a-frame signs, feather signs and inflatables - on their property without being required to obtain a temporary sign permit, according to a city statement.

Temporary signs must be placed on private property, where they do not create sight-line issues or block entering or exiting the property.
