Road closures for the Smyrna Village 5K and 10K races have been determined from 7:45 to 10 a.m. Nov. 18.
Assembling location will be at 5 a.m. at the Village Green, 200 Village Green Circle, near the Smyrna Community Center and Library for the race sponsored by the Metro Area Running Club.
The 5K run will begin and end at Village Green Circle, turning right on Atlanta Road, continuing on Atlanta Road to the turnaround point on Rondak Circle and returning on Atlanta Road to Village Green Circle.
The 10K run will begin and end at Village Green Circle, continuing on Atlanta Road to the turnaround point at Monhegan Way and returning on Atlanta Road to Village Green Circle.
Road closures will include the barricaded areas on Powder Springs Street, Village Green Circle, West Spring Street, King Street and Memorial Place.
Officers will direct traffic at Atlanta Road intersections with Church Street, Spring Road, Concord Road, Collier Drive, Brawner Hall, Brawner Park, Millwood Trail, Creatwood Trail, New Haven Court, Villa Court, Vintage Circle, Rondak Circle, Belridge Drive and Ridge Road.
Atlanta Road southbound traffic will be diverted to the inside lane of Atlanta Road northbound.
Atlanta Road northbound lanes will be the outside lane and southbound will flow on the inside northbound that is the lane closest to the median.
Runners will access all southbound lanes from Powder Springs Street to Ridge Road.
