Traffic alert: Smyrna 5K to close these roads on Labor Day

Road closures have been approved by the Smyrna City Council for the 5K race from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 4.
The assembling location will be at 6:30 a.m. that day around Smyrna City Hall, 2800 King St.
Road closures include the barricaded areas on each of the following roads: Powder Springs Street, Village Green Circle, W. Spring Street, King Street and Memorial Place.
Officers will direct traffic at these Atlanta Road intersections with Church Street, Spring Road, Concord Road, Collier Drive, Brawner Hall, Brawner Park, Millwood Trail, Creatwood Trail, New Haven Court, Villa Court, Vintage Circle and Rondak Circle.
Proceeds will benefit the programs of the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation and Smyrna Optimist Club.
