Smyrna residents are invited to a second public workshop for the “Guide Smyrna 2040” Comprehensive Plan update from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 21 at Brawner Hall, 3180 Atlanta Road, Smyrna.

Particpants will learn about the planning process and discuss what the city should look like in 2040 and the city’s top opportunities and challenges. City officials are updating this plan, the overarching policy and implementation guide for future growth and development. The process will focus on future land use, transportation, housing and economic development over the next 20 years.

Guide Smyrna will build upon the overall vision set by the 2014 Vision Plan, land use policy established in the city’s existing 2030 Comprehensive Plan that was adopted in 2007 and other Smyrna planning efforts.
