The Smyrna City Council decided on Oct. 7 to spend $688,528 for 11 items.
They include:
- $250,351 for a water line installation on Church Street to the lowest bidder, Ardito Construction Company Inc. of Marietta.
- almost $221,038 for five equipped Ford Explorers for the Police Department from Wade Ford of Smyrna.
- nearly $97,278 for replacement of extrication equipment to Georgia Fire & Rescue Supply LLC of Canton.
- $56,626 to purchase a Ford F-550 and a Hydro Dump Bed from Wade Ford of Smyrna.
- $47,516 to replace the Fire Response Command Vehicle from Wade Ford of Smyrna.
- $15,720 for the CivicReady mass notification product from CivicPlus in Kansas.
