The Smyrna City Council approved unanimously Dec. 18 improvements to two parks and roadway resurfacing.

They include:

$495,375 for a grant application that has been assured by the Georgia Department of Transportation, but will require a 30 percent match by the city, to resurface several streets in 2018.

$72,498 to Ashford Gardeners, the low bidder, for landscape improvements for Phase 2 of the Concord Road Linear Park.

$58,381 to Integrated Land Design, the low bidder, for site work and drainage improvements to Jonquil Park, 3000 Park Road, Smyrna to be paid with federal funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
