The Smyrna City Council hired a firm Monday to complete a Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Perez Planning will be the consultant for $86,500.

Though not the cheapest, Perez Planning was the choice of a seven-member city panel, including Councilwoman and Parks Committee Chair Susan Wilkinson. Perez Planning was the third lowest of the seven proposals.

Funding will come from the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
