Smyrna city officials announce that My Home Improvement Magazine, once again, has named Smyrna’s Community Garden as the Best Community Garden for 2018.
The garden is featured in the magazine’s January/February edition.
With 95 plots, the garden is located within North Cooper Lake Park, 4201 North Cooper Lake Road, Smyrna.
Residents can lease plots for one year with renewals each November.
There is always a waiting list, according to city officials.
At the end of January to early February, residents, who do not currently lease a plot, will have an opportunity to lease one based on availability.
Plots are a variety of sizes to accommodate gardeners who wish to plant a lot or a little.
Many of the gardeners have been with their plots for numerous years.
