The Smyrna City Council agreed Monday, Aug. 3, to buy back-up weapons for the police department.
From Smyrna Police Distributors, about $37,966 will be paid for 103 Glock Model 43 9mm handguns with night sights and $37.50 for ankle holsters.
Vest holsters at $48.99 each will be bought from Red the Uniform Tailor.
The money will come from federal asset forfeiture funds.
