The Smyrna City Council voted 7-0 Monday to buy five trucks for $394,570.

Consolidated Disposal was the second lowest bidder for the $129,312 knuckle boom trash loader.

Wade Ford was the lowest bidder for two dump trucks, each costing $78,877.

Also, Wade Ford was the lowest bidder for the $61,960 crew cab truck for the Water Sewer Department and for the $45,544 flat body dump truck.
