The Smyrna City Council voted 4-2 Monday to pay $439,763 for a security camera network throughout city properties.

Opposed were Councilman Wade Lnenicka and Councilwoman Susan Wilkinson.

LMI Systems of Tucker, the second lowest bidder, was awarded the bid.

The lowest bidder at $425,013, Knine All Systems, could not bond on the total job, according to a Sept. 2 memo from the city’s Purchasing Manager Penny Murphy.
