Thieves hit Filene's Basement in Buckhead.

Smash-and-grab burglars hit the Filene's Basement store in Buckhead on Friday morning, stealing thousands of dollars in jeans, yet leaving much merchandise.

The thieves left in a silver or gray Dodge Neon or Stratus, police at the scene told the AJC.

Lenox Market Place Security and a woman who identified herself as an operations manager walk with 15 pairs of jeans a burglar dropped outside the store.

he burglary was at least the third in 14 months at the Buckhead store famous for its annual "Running of the Brides" wedding gown sale.
