Keep Atlanta Beautiful has scheduled the sixth annual “Race 2 Recycle.” The 5K run/walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Pavilion at Piedmont Park. Fruit, snacks and water will be provided, and kids, strollers and dogs are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring their old running shoes, batteries, small electronics and mobile phones for recycling.
The pre-registration fee is $25 for adults and $15 for children under 14. The registration fee will be $30 for adults on race day and $15 for children under 14. Register online at www.active.com or in person at Phidippides, 1544 Piedmont Ave.
