Officials with Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell and Six Flags White Water in Marietta are banning certain new technology, including drones, selfie sticks and monopods.

“After careful review, we’ve decided to prohibit selfie sticks, monopods, and similar devices at all Six Flags theme and water parks effective immediately,” park officials stated in their newest park newsletter.

“Guests who bring selfie sticks to the park will be asked to store them in their cars during their visit,” they add.

Drones also are prohibited “regardless of their size, weight or purpose.”
