Six candidates filed papers this week in the qualifying period for Tucker’s Nov. 7 city elections.

Four are incumbents seeking re-election: Mayor Frank Auman, District One Councilmember Honey Van De Kreke, District Two Councilmember Matt Robbins and District Three Councilmember Michelle Penkava.

In District One, Van De Kreke will be challenged by Pat Soltys, while District Three will see Penkava and challenger David Deaton running.

Auman and Robbins are unopposed, but there is a seven-day period underway for candidates seeking status as “qualified write-ins.”

Tucker’s City Council elections are staggered; the three remaining seats will be on the ballot in November 2019.
