Jennifer Ewing was killed on the Silver Comet Trail in Paulding County in July 2006. She was an avid cyclist who regularly rode a 50-mile route on the trail.

Michael William Ledford is led from a police car into Paulding County magistrate court on July 31, 2006, after being arrested in Ewing's murder.

Bernadette Boas sits close to a point on the Silver Comet Trail where Jennifer Ewing died. Since Ewing's death, cyclists and pedestrians have been leaving items near the area as a way of remembering her. Boas is the organizer of the Jenny Ewing Memorial Ride held in September 2006.

A year after Ewing's death, a memorial was left on the trail in her memory.
