Woodstock advises those planning to participate in this year’s Scarecrow Invasion that space will be limited, and they should be standing in line to pick their spots when registration begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Registration for the Halloween-oriented event will take place at the Woodstock Visitors Center, 8588 Main St. Fees are $40 for nonprofit organizations and $100 for businesses for a prime spot, and $60 for a non-prime spot.

The event will offer more than 180 scarecrows on display the month of October in downtown Woodstock. The public can vote for best scarecrow by contributing $1 per vote; the winner will receive a trophy.
