The Helping Other People Excel (HOPE) Park Miracle League is this Saturday at Dutchtown Middle School from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The league is open to people with special needs who would like to play baseball. There are no age restrictions. Children and adults are welcome to play. Each player will be paired with a “Buddy” to assist them when needed. Our Buddies for the Winter League will be from the Dutchtown High School Human Touch Club. The Human Touch Club was created to help individuals with special needs, cancer, or other major health issues. Registration for the H.O.P.E. league is $25 and includes shirt and hat. The league will play its games at Dutchtown Middle School, 155 Mitchell Rd. in Hampton. HOPE Park does not close registration. The season starts Saturday and runs through May 17. Players can join at any time during the season. The league also is looking for sponsors.
