SPLOST dollars will fund the construction of 1.33 miles of sidewalk along Buford Highway from Jimmy Carter Boulevard to Beaver Ruin Road. The project, underway now, includes sidewalk installation, milling and paving, landscaped media installation and drainage installation. Construction also includes erosion control, maintenance of traffic, grading, excavation, subgrade preparation, sign installations and pavement markings.

The project, to be completed by this time next year, will require occasional lane closures at night. All four lanes will remain open during rush hours. Any lane closures will be communicated through the 511 system.
