Construction will begin by the end of February or early March on sidewalks along Hillcrest Road, between Indian Trail and Burns roads in Lilburn. Out of nine bids the city received, the Lilburn City Council approved the low bidder, Excellere Construction LLC for the amount of $155,800.
The project is 100 percent funded by a Community Development Block Grant and will provide safety and mobility enhancements along Hillcrest Road. In addition to sidewalks, the project will include milling on Hillcrest Road to bring the street in line with new curbing.
