Shots fired during Marietta store robbery
Police are looking for the man who fired shots inside a Marietta business before stealing $300 Monday morning.
Shortly after 8 a.m., the armed man entered La Carreta Grocery and Tacqueria at 1252 Roswell Road and assaulted a customer and an employee, said Officer Michael Gardner with Marietta police. Both received minor injuries and were treated at the scene, he said.
Shots were fired, but no one was struck, Gardner said. The man then left with the cash, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-8 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, Gardner said. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black hat, black ski mask, black gloves and a brown backpack, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Det. Daniel Ohmann at 770-794-5372.
