Two people were shot Tuesday afternoon at a DeKalb County apartment complex, according to police.

The shootings were reported around 4:30 at the Oaks at Stonecrest complex, located on Evans Mill Road, DeKalb County police said.

The victims, two men whose names were not released, were found near a car in the parking lot, Mekka Parish, police spokeswoman told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Both were transported to the hospital, but their conditions were not known, Parish said.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and saw a red sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed, Parish said.

No one was in custody Tuesday night.
