A spilled drink may have led to four people, including two innocent bystanders, being shot early Saturday at a Stone Mountain night club, police said. Three of the victims were listed as being in critical condition.

The DeKalb Police Department said a group of males began arguing over a spilled drink inside Jay’s Place Club, and the argument continued in the parking lot after the club on Redan Road in closed.

“It started because somebody spilled a drink on somebody. That later turned into a fight that turned into a shooting,” DeKalb police Lt. C. Barkett told Channel 2 Action News.

At some point, witnesses told police, a dark colored vehicle drove by and two individuals inside began shooting into the crowd on the sidewalk.

Two adult males involved in the initial argument and two adult females who were innocent bystanders were shot.

The victims were identified as Sterling Lewis, whose condition was listed as critical but stable; Herman Berry, critical; Syria Canady, critical; and Temeka Johnson, serious.

Police were on the lookout for a black or dark colored Honda, or possibly an Acura.
