The Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department recently announced that a herd of sheep will be used to removed excess foliage from sections of Murphey Candler Park at 1551 West Nancy Creek Drive.

Previous uses of these sheep to remove unwanted plants were successful efforts. The sections being grazed by the herd will be enclosed within a temporary fence, with signs posted to alert the public. The herd is expected to be present in the park through the first week of May, and will be attended by several shepherding dogs.
