Alpharetta police said there was a rash of vehicle break-ins Thursday night in the Avalon area.

Criminals broke the windows of several vehicles at restaurants between Mansell Road and the Avalon mixed-use development, police said Friday on a Facebook post.

“Thieves hit the jackpot in our city last evening,” cops wrote.

Police said at least six laptops, along with other valuables, were taken.

The department was not immediately available Friday afternoon to give information about a suspect or say if investigators have any leads.

The cops did ask folks to remind friends and loved ones to not leave valuable items in their vehicles.

“This happens at all hours of the day at businesses and restaurants, and overnight in neighborhoods,” police wrote.
