A serial rapist was convicted Thursday and given three consecutive life sentences plus 484 years in prison, the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Trever Deion Blue, 23, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of rape, sexual battery, aggravated assault and burglary.

“Hopefully this sentence will help the victims and their families continue on the road to healing from these terrible and senseless acts,” District Attorney Robert James said in the news release. “A monster has forever been removed from the streets of DeKalb County. (Blue) will never be able to harm women and terrorize neighborhoods again.”

Blue assaulted 16 women between 2009 and 2010, DeKalb D.A.’s office spokesman Erik Burton said. The attacks occurred around the Hambrick Road area.

Blue was 19 when he was arrested on Feb. 26, 2010.

One of the women who was assaulted spoke during Thursday’s hearing, emotionally recounting the attack.

She said she would pray for Blue, according to Burton.
