Seminary building earns energy-efficiency certification

June 28, 2010A new residence hall at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur has earned national environmental certification.
The three-story hall earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED Gold certification for its energy monitoring system, insulation and other designs for over all energy efficiency and features such as a rainwater collection system.
The residence hall is the first building in Decatur to earn the Gold certification.
