Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies Friday arrested a second suspect on murder charges in a highway shooting that occurred on Christmas Eve 2006.

Miguel A. Guevara, 25, was captured at the home of a family member on Lawrenceville Highway following a tip that he returned to the county. Guevara was thought to have fled the state, said Gwinnett Sheriff's spokeswoman Stacey Bourbonnais.

Guevara was sitting in a back bedroom when deputies arrived and arrested him without a fight, Bourbonnais said.

Guevara is accused of shooting into a vehicle in which Jesus Los Angeles Gonzales, 20, of Lawrenceville, was riding on I-85 on Christmas Eve morning 2006. Gonzales and the driver, Celso Villalobos, were both injured. Gonzales died at the hospital; Villalobos was treated and released.

Police never released information about the motive for the shooting.

In March the department's new cold case unit arrested Miguel Antonio Gonzales-Linares, 21, on murder charges related to the shooting. He also is being held at the Gwinnett jail without bond.
