With the start Saturday of construction on the East Cobb Pipeline Project, traffic delays are expected around five public schools for several months.

Those are Sope Creek Elementary, Eastvalley Elementary, Brumby Elementary, East Cobb Middle and Wheeler High, according to Cobb County School District officials.

Section 1 will begin at the intersection of Lower Roswell Road and Gant Place (west of Old Canton Road), progressing west on Lower Roswell Road, then Terrell Mill Road and stopping at Powers Ferry Road.

Expected to begin in early October, Section 2 will start on the west side of Powers Ferry Road and progress west, mostly along Terrell Mill Road, to U.S. 41.
