Johnson Ferry Baptist Church has received approval from the Cobb County Board of Commissioners to open a school for pre-K - 12th grades.

The maximum enrollment will be 500 with hours from 8 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Fridays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, said applicant attorney John Moore.

This private school will be located at 955 Johnson Ferry Road on the west side of Johnson Ferry Road, east side of Woodlawn Drive and north of Lower Roswell Road on the 36.5-acre campus.

State and nationally certified, the school will serve as a base for home school students.

The proposed school will use the church’s existing buildings, parking and recreational fields so that no site improvements are anticipated or planned.
