You yearning yuletide spirit?

Well you can get your Christmas fix Saturday morning at Marietta Square with Santa Claus.

The bearded dude will be there from 9 to 10:30 a.m. for a Christmas in July appearance, the city said.

Santa will be there to present a $10,000 check from the Marietta Square Winter Wonderland group, which puts on the holiday festivities and ice skating rink, to the Center for Family Resources.

The Marietta-based organization serves the homeless community.

Stephanie Coston, operations manager for the Square's holiday celebrations, said the money was left over from paid yuletide events like the ice skating rink and pictures with Santa.

She said the organization “is the epitome of the holiday spirit.”
