East Point city officials have announced that the sanitary sewer overflow on Oct. 30 was repaired Nov. 3. An official notice has not gone out to the public as the advisory warning for residents is still in effect. Residents and pets are to avoid any contact with that segment of South Utoy Creek (Leith Avenue 200 feet west of Delowe Drive) until the environmental monitoring results come back.

East Point water customers are not under a Boil Water Advisory and there is no restriction on water usage. City officials will update residents when environmental monitoring results are in.
