Sandy Springs residents are invited to a Thursday, Nov. 29, “Public Visioning Session” for a potential new cultural center “to foster creativity and support for arts in the community through education, innovation and collaboration,” officials said.

The session is to take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre at City Springs, 1 Galambos Way. A Cultural Center supports the objectives of the City Center Master Plan, adopted in 2012, officials said.

The city is exploring partnerships with Visit Sandy Springs, the Sandy Springs-Perimeter Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust, officials said. Houser Walker has been selected as lead architect for the project.

"As part of the Public Visioning Session, residents will have the opportunity to meet the design team, hear an update on the project's process, and provide input on how to make the center a vital asset within the community," according to a city announcement of the event.
