Sandy Springs will seek community input on mixed-use, conceptual master plans for breathing new life into four shopping centers at the north end of town.

Following up the North End Task Force report, the city will ask residents to respond to proposals for the former Loehmann’s Plaza, 8610 Roswell Road; Northridge Shopping Center, 8331 Roswell; North River Shopping Center, 8765 Roswell, and North Springs Shopping Center, 7330 Roswell.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at City Hall, 1 Galambos Way. A brief presentation will be followed by "a community engagement session," the first of several planned, according to a city announcement.

“The concept plans are intended to illustrate how the community’s vision for reimagining the North End can be realized through a variety of recommendations, uses and intensities,” the city said. The designs are not formal development proposals, but “illustrative concepts that might spur the highest and best uses of key properties in this redevelopment area.”
