State highway officials have announced lane closures over four consecutive weekends in June, beginning Friday, for the two roundabouts at the interchange of Riverside Drive and I-285 in Sandy Springs.
Weather permitting, contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation will perform repairs and maintenance to make safety improvements to the northbound and southbound roundabouts.
Work on the northbound roundabout is scheduled for June 2-4 and June 9-11; and on the southbound roundabout, June 16-18 and June 23-25, beginning at 9 p.m. Fridays and ending at 5 a.m. Mondays. No detours are expected.
Neighbors can expect noise as workers use heavy equipment to break up and move concrete, GDOT says. Off-duty law enforcement officers will be on site during the construction.
