The Sandy Springs City Council has renewed a facility use agreement with Sandy Springs Youth Sports Inc. to continue providing recreational programming at Morgan Falls Park.

Sandy Springs Youth Sports will be paid $127,500 a year under the five-year agreement, the same amount as in the prior, 2013 agreement, according to a staff report to the council. “The only substantial change in the 2019 agreement is that the insurance provisions have been updated by the city’s risk manager,” staff said.

The organization has offered baseball, softball, football and cheerleading programs at Morgan Falls Park since 2008.

According to the agreement, the youth sports group will have a number of responsibilities including mowing, cleaning, picking up litter, collecting trash, installing baseball fences on three fields, preparing playing fields, weed control, fertilizing, treating for fire ants, power washing certain assets, and providing portable bathrooms during the winter.
