After several months’ delay and the issuance of a second request for proposals, the Sandy Springs City Council has renewed the management contract for the city’s tennis center with Groslimond Tennis Services.

Groslimond, Agape Tennis Academy and Universal Tennis Management were the three finalists for the contract. A city evaluation team recommended the incumbent contract holder, saying it “represents the best value to the city.”

Groslimond would produce base year gross revenues of $120,000 and no phase-in cost (nor a transition period), according to the evaluators; Agape, $109,200 in gross revenues and a $10,875 phase-in cost, and Universal, $84,000 in gross revenues and a $43,400 phase-in cost.

The city was ready to award the contract to Groslimond last fall, but Universal objected, citing an error in the evaluation data. The council decided to make no award at that time and to issue a new RFP later.
