Sandy Springs has approved $98,000 in economic development incentives for a company moving its headquarters from Dunwoody.

Cotiviti, a payment accuracy provider for healthcare payers and retailers, will receive a $35,000 building permit fee waiver, as well as the waiver of three years of business occupational taxes totaling $63,000. It is moving to the One Glenlake office building at Abernathy Road and Ga. 400.

The Sandy Springs City Council approved the incentives after a presentation by Assistant City Manager Jim Tolbert, who noted that Cotiviti will be committing to a 10-year lease, and the average wage of existing jobs at the firm exceeds $100,000.

Cotiviti expects to spend about $5.25 million to improve its 66,100-square-foot space, not including furniture, fixtures and equipment, according to a staff report to council. The firm employs 340 in its current offices, and it plans to add jobs. Its new quarters can accommodate up to 500 people.
