Santa’s Fantastical, a multi-media, family oriented holiday entertainment venue in Sandy Springs, will have an added attraction this winter: alcoholic beverages.

The Sandy Springs City Council approved an alcoholic beverage license allowing wine, malt beverages and distilled spirits for Atlanta Fantastical OpCo LLC, doing business as Santa’s Fantastical at 1155 Mount Vernon Highway.

Answering a concern expressed at the council meeting, Walter Geer III, owner of Santa’s Fantastical, told council members alcohol will be served in an area separate from family activities, in a place called “Santa’s Secret Stash.”

Geer said the Fantastical is adding alcohol in response to the numbers of millennials who came out last winter to see the show. The venue, according to its website, offers "live performances, costumed characters, old-school and high-tech games, amazing projected motion graphics and animation, beautiful scenery and memorable food and beverage(s)."

This year's Fantastical season is Nov. 15-Jan. 5. Information: https://santasfantastical.com/
