The Sandy Springs City Council has awarded a $348,282 contract to Tri Scapes Inc. to improve the landscaping at the Eva Cohn Galambos Memorial Interchange at Ga. 400 and Northridge Road.

Tri Scapes submitted the lowest bid of four for the job, which includes light-duty clearing, grubbing and grading; providing erosion control and tree protection fencing; removing dead, dying or hazardous branches or whole trees; installing trees, shrubs, groundcover and sod and watering in the plantings.

Tri Scapes also submitted a bid of $98,889 for additional alternatives. The contract is for 60 days and covers all sides of the interchange, named last year for the “Founding Mother” of Sandy Springs by the Georgia House of Representatives.
