Sandy Springs is introducing three ways to keep residents and commuters posted of traffic conditions, road closures and emergencies. The rollout of the system began Oct. 4, with full implementation expected by the end of the month.
Sandy Springs Alerts lets registered users sign up for emergency notifications related to traffic, weather, power outages and other public safety concerns. The alerts are pushed to mobile devices or desktop computers via text or email. To register: http://bit.ly/2cY7HRT
An interactive Traffic Watch Map highlights lane and road closures, gives information about road projects, and provides links to cameras monitoring intersections across the city. Check out the map at: http://bit.ly/2dJaIdk
