Sandy Springs will begin testing eight new tornado warning sirens shortly before noon on the first Wednesday of each month. The city completed installation of the sirens last week.

The tornado sirens are being paid for through a combination of grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Georgia Emergency Management Agency as well as local funds.
