The city of Sandy Springs is setting up a beautification fund, courtesy of a significant private donation.

The Sandy Springs City Council this week accepted a $20,000 gift from The Collaborative, the Boston-based firm which the city contracts with for communications and community development services.

The company is requesting the money be used for outdoor projects such as public spaces, gateways, interpretative/information signs, sculptures and art. They also requested the city publicly showcase completed project to generate more donor support.
