Sandy Springs City Center plan moves forward

Sandy Springs officials said construction prep work is starting on the master block for its City Center project property near the intersection of Roswell and Johnson Ferry roads.

Building demolition is almost done and fencing installation around the property will begin soon. That means on-site parking is now banned.

City Center is an effort to create a defined mixed-use downtown for the city, which incorporated in 2005.

Lane/road closures are expected as crews make the site ready for construction and as utility relocation begins. The city will post information on that on its website: sandyspringsga.gov and on social media.
